SIAE Awards in a new form

On 2 December last year, we presented the renewed SIAE Awards at the National Gallery.

A large audience responded to the invitation. Over the next five years, as part of the Awareness-Raising for Lifelong Learning Project and the Lahko.si campaign, we will actively promote inspirational stories of exemplary learners. Through these stories, we aim to inspire individuals of all ages to courageously embark on the journey of acquiring new knowledge and skills.

Dr Nataša Potočnik, the SIAe director, introduced the history of the SIAE Awards to the audience. Their origins date back several decades. The awards were established as part of a collective effort to promote lifelong learning under the auspices of LLW. Through these awards, the SIAE has recognised individuals who have found a path to knowledge despite various obstacles and have inspired others with their success. Since 1997, the SIAE Awards have symbolised honour for individuals, groups and others who motivate and encourage through their example.
