AIM

​The project is aimed at the popularisation of messages of the European Agenda for Adult Learning (new EAAL, previous EAAL) and of educational policies on the national and European level. It is focused especially on raising awareness of the Slovenian public on the importance and omnipresence of adult education and lifelong learning and on opportunities available to the adult population. The focus is on the acquisition of basic skills and other key competences for adults.

The project is addressing all target groups, i.e. policy makers, professionals, practitioners, learners, media, and the widest audience. Special attention is dedicated to the low-skilled and educationally deprived. Project activities motiveta adults for learning and empower them for various aspects of life.

OBJECTIVES

Main objectives of the current project are to support:

  • the implementation of the (since 29 November 2021: new – nEAAL) European Agenda for Adult Learning (previous EAAL, new EAAL),
  • the implementation of the Council Recommendation Upskilling Pathways – new opportunities for adults,
  • awareness-raising on the meaning of eight skills for life and learning opportunities for their acquisition,
  • the national coordination of the European Year of Skills,
  • other endeavours in adult education policy, profession and practice, especially with regard to governance (coherence with other policy areas), and supply and take-up,
  • the implementation of flexibility, improved access, and quality.
DESCRIPTION

​Activities of the seventh two-year EAAL implementation phase relate to four strands:

  • increasing the participation of adults in lifelong learning (skills for life and work and their presentation on the national platform Where to Get Knowledge/Kam po znanje),
  • dissemination and implementation of EU initiatives such as further implementation of the Upskilling Pathways Recommendation, Pact for Skills etc.)
  • national coordination of the European Year os Skills (EYS) and examination of innovative learning environments,
  • implementation of the EAAL dissemination strategy as well as activities at EU level.
