Induction of Zvonka Pangerc Pahernik, MSc, into the International Adult and Continuing Education Hall of Fame

ALE in Slovenia has gained a new member of the prestigious International Adult and Continuing Education Hall of Fame: Zvonka Pangerc Pahernik, MSc, Head of the Information and Awareness-raising Unit at the SIAE.

From 7 to 9 November, Florence hosted a remarkable ALE event – the IACE HoF International Conference. The central highlight of the gathering was the formal induction ceremony for a new generation of 18 outstanding individuals whose contributions have left a significant mark on ALE.

All of us working in Slovenian ALE can be genuinely proud, first and foremost, of Zvonka, the award recipient. Additionally, the ceremony reflected the recognition and high esteem our country has earned through her work.

This award represents the highest and most prestigious honour bestowed since 1996 upon distinguished researchers, practitioners and policymakers whose work has significantly contributed to the development and visibility of ALE. It is, in essence, the “Oscars” of ALE.

To be inducted into the Hall of Fame, an individual must demonstrate outstanding achievements that have advanced the development and legacy of ALE. The Hall of Fame serves as a source of inspiration for future generations of professionals in this field.
