IACE HOF Conference 2024

The University of Florence is hosting the prestigious International Adult and Continuing Education Hall of Fame 2024 Conference (IACE HOF Conference 2024), bringing together 130 experts in the field of adult education and lifelong learning from 26 countries.

The event, which will take place from 7 to 9 November, will not only feature expert discussions and workshops, but will also focus on the presentation of awards to individuals who have particularly distinguished themselves in the field of adult education.

Organised annually by the International Adult and Continuing Education Hall of Fame, the conference serves as an important platform for sharing experiences, research and best practices.

Experts and participants will take part in panel discussions:

• discussing inclusive data collection processes in adult education;
• discussing the role of universities in promoting lifelong learning and cross-border cooperation;
• discussing the importance of education in facilitating the integration of immigrants into new social settings;
• discussing the effective integration of adult learning principles into learning processes;
• presenting new approaches for personalised learning, such as micro-qualifications and individual learning accounts.

The conference offers a unique opportunity for networking and forging new professional links between leading experts from around the world.  The SIAE Director Dr Nataša Potočnik and Zvonka Pangerc Pahernik of the SIAE are taking part in this event.

In the group session on Cooperation and Stakeholder Involvement in Adult Learning and Education, Zvonka Pangerc Pahernik of the SIAE today proudly presents to colleagues from Europe and North America the forms of cooperation and networking, using the example of the Slovenian Lifelong Learning Weeks (Tedni vseživljenjskega učenja – TVU) and the Resolution on the National Programme for Adult Education in the Republic of Slovenia (ReNPIO).
