In December last year, it was piloted in Italy for the first time.<\/p>\n<p>In Slovenia, the programme is delivered by organisations across 12 municipalities. Young people who have dropped out of education develop key competences through project-based learning and active engagement with the local community, while shaping their professional identity. They explore pathways to return to formal education or enter employment.<\/p>\n<p>At the same time, the programme strengthens cooperation among various institutions and stakeholders in the fields of non-formal learning and youth social activation, while building bridges between formal education, youth work and employment.<\/p>\n<p>[\/et_pb_text][et_pb_image src=&#8221;https:\/\/www.acs.si\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/06\/PLYA-Toskana.png&#8221; alt=&#8221;Partners of Work4NEETS initiative at the meeting&#8221; title_text=&#8221;PLYA-Toskana&#8221; _builder_version=&#8221;4.27.5&#8243; _module_preset=&#8221;default&#8221; global_colors_info=&#8221;{}&#8221;][\/et_pb_image][et_pb_text _builder_version=&#8221;4.27.5&#8243; _module_preset=&#8221;default&#8221; global_colors_info=&#8221;{}&#8221;]<\/p>\n<p>This unique, modern and integrative approach inspired representatives of the Italian municipality of Empoli in the Tuscany region, who became acquainted with the programme during a study visit organised by the \u0160KATELC Association for the Development of Responsibility, one of the twelve providers implementing the programme, based in Ljubljana.<\/p>\n<p>They recognised that the programme, developed in Slovenia, offers an effective response to many of the challenges faced by young NEETs in Empoli.
