From the very first ideas, the organisers \u2013 the joint teams of MOCIS \u2013 Centre for Adult Education Slovenj Gradec and the Slovenian Institute for Adult Education (SIAE) \u2013 knew they wanted to create something visitors would carry with them and remember long after the final applause. And, if we are completely honest, the organisers themselves took away much more than completed checklists and exhaustion after weeks of preparation.<\/p>\n<p>The central theme of this year\u2019s event,\u00a0<em>Between Solzice and the Written Word<\/em>, was not chosen by chance. Drawing on Pre\u017eihov Voranc\u2019s literary works\u00a0<em>Samorastniki<\/em>\u00a0and\u00a0<em>Solzice<\/em>, the event intertwined themes of resilience, tenderness and the enduring importance of reading.
