<\/div>\nWe develop the guidance activity in adult education in several areas:<\/p>\n

- we provide guidance to the professional and broader public regarding all issues and challenges associated with adult education and learning;<\/li>\n
- we are developing a model of the information-guidance activity in adult education (ISIO) \u2013 IGAE, which we have incorporated into the network of guidance centres for adult education \u2013 IGAE centres;\u00a0since 2021 guidance activity in adult education (ISIO) \u2013 IGAE is a part of public service;<\/li>\n
- we develop and prepare professional materials, databases, training courses for counsellors, etc.;<\/li>\n
- we are involved in the preparation of various policy and professional documents in the field of adult education, especially those in the field of guidance in adult education and we work with other global networks on the development and incorporation of this field into the education system;<\/li>\n
- we establish ties with domestic and foreign partners and work on both international projects and the projects, co-founded by the European Cohesion Policy Program<\/span>.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/div>\n

\u00a0We initially provided adult education guidance to the professional and general public both through the provision of information and guidance in person, over the telephone and e-mail, between 1999 and 2020 also through the e-Svetovalni koti\u010dek<\/a> (e-Guidance Corner).<\/p>\n
We began developing the model of the information-guidance activity in adult education \u2013 IGAE at the end of the nineteen-nineties and integrated it into the network of regional guidance centres for adult education \u2013 IGAE<\/a> centres. Since 2021 guidance activity in adult education (ISIO) \u2013 IGAE is a part of public service, being provided by 35 public adult education centres (34 in 2021 and 35 since 2022). The professional basis for the implementation of guidance activities in adult education is substantiated in The Guidelines for Implementing Adult Education Guidance as a Public Service<\/a> (adopted by the Expert Council for Adult Education in June 2020). We have been devoting special attention since 2009 to the development and assessment of the quality of the adult education guidance activity<\/a>.\u00a0That remains an important part of quality assurance of adult education guidance as a public service.<\/p>\n
We are also developing professional materials, guidance, databases and tools for quality and effective work of adult education counsellors. The majority of such materials are available in the Publications<\/a> section.<\/strong> We are developing various training courses for adult education counsellors that reflect the current needs in this area. We devote special attention to the development of guidance for vulnerable groups of adults.<\/p>\n
We also develop the activity of guidance in adult education in Slovenia as partners or coordinators of international projects and within the scope of the projects, co-founded by the European Social Found (ESF) and European Cohesion Policy Program<\/span>.<\/p>\n
In the 2000\u20132003 period, we were internationally active within the scope of the project entitled EBIS \u2013 Development of Adult Education in South-East Europe, while we worked in the 2007\u20132009 period on the innovative Leonardo da Vinci project Guidance at the workplace \u2013 Guidance merger.<\/p>\n
In the 2015\u20132018 period, we were partners in Erasmus+, KA3 project Guidance and Orientation for Adult Learners \u2013 GOAL<\/a>, 2015\u20132018 (in Slovenia the lead partner was the Ministrsy od Eduction, Science and Sport with two partners \u2013 Slovenian Institute for Adult Education and Institute of the Republic of Slovenia for Vocational Education and Training).<\/p>\n
In the 2020\u20132022 period, we are partners in Erasmus+. KA2 project Guidance for Low-skilled Adults towards Skills Assessment and Validation \u2013 GLAS (CIK Trebnje being the lead partner in Slovenia).\u00a0<\/p>\n
In 2021-2023, we were a partner in the Erasmus+ KA2 project YouthReach: Outreach – Inclusive and Transformative Framework for All.<\/p>\n
In 2022-2024, we were a partner in the Erasmus+ project KA2, Reaching Out to the ‘Left-Behind’ – improving guidance for working persons from the underprivileged milieu.<\/p>\n
Co-founded by the European Social Found (ESF) and the Ministry of Education, Science and Spor (now Ministry of Education), we implemented several projects in the past that dealt with the development of the content and training for the area of guidance in adult education:<\/p>\n

In March 2022, we successfully completed a six-year ESF project \u00a0“Professional Support for the Information-Guidance Activity and Validation of Non-formal Learning 2016\u20132022<\/a>“.<\/em><\/p>\n
In 2024, we started a new project, co-founded by the European Cohesion Policy Program, called Strengthening Lifelong Learning<\/strong><\/a>, which will run until June 2029. The project covers several thematic strands, one of which, strand 3, is Strengthening Adult Education Guidance Activities<\/em>. The purpose of these activities is to provide professional support to adult education counsellors through various tools, instruments and materials. These will enable them to inform, motivate and carry out professional and quality adult education guidance in all three areas (guidance on enrolment in education and continuation of education, guidance on identification and documentation of knowledge and skills, guidance on self-directed learning).<\/p>\n
We regularly work with other counselling networks in Slovenian on the exchange of knowledge and experience and the incorporation of this field into the education system. Partner networking and cooperation take place within the scope of the development and updating of the portal of all Slovenian networks<\/a> that deal with the area of adult education. Through our member, we participate in the national Lifelong Career Orientation (VKO) Expert Group. We have the strongest ties with the Employment Service of Slovenia, National Education Institute Slovenia, the Association Of Free Trade Unions Of Slovenia, the Institute of the Republic of Slovenia for Vocational Education and Training (CPI), the Public Scholarship, Development, Disability and Maintenance Fund of the Republic of Slovenia, the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Slovenia, and the Chamber of Craft and Small Business of Slovenia.<\/p>\n

- sodelujemo z drugimi svetovalnimi omre\u017eji pri razvoju in ume\u0161\u010danju podro\u010dja v sistem vzgoje in izobra\u017eevanja,<\/li>\r\n<\/li>\r\n\t\t
- povezujemo in sodelujemo tudi v mednarodnih projektih ter v projektih Evropskega socialnega sklada.<\/li>\r\n\t<\/ul>\r\n<\/div>\r\n\r\n
\r\nSvetovalno dejavnosti v izobra\u017eevanju odraslih na ACS razvijamo od ustanovitve leta 1991. Najprej je bil dan ve\u010dji poudarek razvijanju svetovalne dejavnosti, ki so jo sodelavci ACS zagotavljali strokovni in \u0161ir\u0161i javnosti. Tako preko osebnega informiranja in svetovanja, kot preko telefona, elektronske po\u0161te in za odrasle od leta 1999 naprej prek e-Svetovalnega koti\u010dka (http:\/\/svetovalni.acs.si\/<\/a>).\r\n<\/p>\r\n
\r\nKonec devetdesetih let pa smo pri\u010deli razvijati model \u00bbInformativno Svetovalne dejavnosti v Izobra\u017eevanju Odraslih \u2013 ISIO\u00ab, ki smo ga najprej vpeljali v mre\u017eo regionalnih svetovalnih sredi\u0161\u010d za izobra\u017eevanje odraslih \u2013 sredi\u0161\u010d ISIO (letu 2018 deluje 17 sredi\u0161\u010d ISIO). Ve\u010d o ciljih, vsebini in konkretnih aktivnostih sredi\u0161\u010d ISIO je opisano na spletni strani http:\/\/isio.acs.si<\/a>. Od leta 2009 je posebna pozornost namenjena razvijanju in presojanju kakovosti svetovalne dejavnosti v IO, kar podrobneje predstavljamo na spletni podstrani http:\/\/isio.acs.si\/kakovost\/.<\/p>\r\n
\r\nPoleg razvoja in spremljanja dejavnosti sredi\u0161\u010d ISIO razvijamo na ACS tudi strokovna gradiva in vodila, baze podatkov in pripomo\u010dke za kakovostno in u\u010dinkovito delo svetovalcev v izobra\u017eevanju odraslih. Ve\u010dina teh gradiv je dostopna v spletni knji\u017eni polici na naslovu http:\/\/isio.acs.si\/polica\/<\/a>. Za svetovalce v IO razvijamo in izpeljujemo razli\u010dna usposabljanja, ki odra\u017eajo aktualnost potreb svetovanja v IO, s poudarkom na razvijanju svetovanja za ranljive skupine odraslih (v skladu z ReNPIO 2013-2020). \r\n<\/p>\r\n
\r\nV podporo razvoju svetovalne dejavnosti v IO v slovenskem prostoru je tudi sodelovanje v mednarodnih projektih s tega podro\u010dja in razvijanje dejavnosti v okviru projektov sofinanciranih iz sredstev Evropskega socialnega sklada. <\/p>\r\n\r\n
\r\nNa mednarodnem podro\u010dju smo bili v letih 2000-2003 zelo aktivni v projektu EBIS \u2013 Razvoj izobra\u017eevanja odraslih v JV Evropi, v letih 2007-2009 smo sodelovali v inovativnem projektu Leonardo da Vinci Svetovanje na delovnem mestu (Guidance at the workplace \u2013 Guidance merger 2), zadnji aktualni projekt pa je Erasmus+, KA3 projekt, Svetovanje odraslim v izobra\u017eevanju (Guidance an Orientation for Adult Learners \u2013 GOAL, 2015-2018). Ve\u010d o vsebini in rezultatih projekta je objavljeno na spletni strani projekta www.project.goal.eu<\/a>\r\n<\/p>\r\nS sofinanciranjem Evropskega socialnega sklada in Ministrstva za izobra\u017eevanje, znanost in \u0161port smo v preteklosti izpeljali ve\u010d ESS projektov, v okviru katerih smo razvijali tudi vsebine in usposabljanja za podro\u010dje svetovanja v IO, naj izpostavimo le zadnja dva: projekt Izobra\u017eevanje in usposabljanje strokovnih delavcev (2009-2011), Aktivnost: Usposabljanje za delovanje svetovalnih sredi\u0161\u010d ISIO in projekt Izobra\u017eevanje in usposabljanje strokovnih delavcev (2011-2014), Aktivnost: Usposabljanje in spopolnjevanje za svetovalno delo v IO.
