Content:

The general aim of the project that began in October 2012 and will last three years, is to maintain a comprehensive information portal on adult education in Europe. This includes exchanging information about good practices from the Member States and comprehensive information about European adult education projects. Within the proposed project, SIAE is envisaging acting as correspondent and taking part in dissemination activities.

Description:
  • Maintaining the exchange of European Adult education information for professionals.
  • Themes of reporting will be oriented by priorities of EU call for proposals Lifelong learning programme 2012. They help to reach an innovative, inclusive and professional adult education in Europe and the individuals to improve and update their knowledge and competences: Intergenerational learning; Learning for senior citizens; Family learning; Migrants and ethnic minorities and Roma, Development of special needs adult education, in particular for people with disabilities; low-skilled adults (basic education/literacy), citizenship/political education (European year of 2013). Under this priority themes should focus on aspects such as: transferring knowledge, methods and good practice; innovative ideas, designing appropriate training schemes.
  • Improving the attractiveness of and access to adult learning; validation of non-formal and informal learning, appropriate teaching and developing alternative learning.
  • Continuation and professionalization of InfoNet.
  • Development of new elements (extension of the network, new quality management system, extension of offer/service – for example Web 2.0).
Expected outcomes:
  • 6 - 7 European InfoNet Newsletter per year, each issue has its main topic (4 Newsletters are issued in cooperation with the magazine Lifelong Learning in Europe (LLinE) - http://www.lline.fi/en);
  • 300 new reports (news items, articles, interviews, background stories, country overviews, book reviews) written by correspondents;
  • updated homepage www.infonet-ae.eu (status: 1000 reports about adult education, structured country overviews, database of journals);
  • promotion of InfoNet activities on Facebook page InfoNet.
