The Slovenian Institute of Adult Education was invited to participate in the testing of the Validpack instrument for recording and evaluating the formally and non-formally acquired competences of adult educators. The instrument was designed in 2006 in the scope of the European VINEPAC project, and involves several phases, including self-evaluation, external evaluation and consolidation. The testing of the instrument is part of the new CAPIVAL project, which aims to contribute to the development of adult competences and facilitate the comparison of those competences in Europe through the use of the instrument. Participation in the project gives us the opportunity to consider our own training programmes and the competences required of adult educators. The project will be completed in 2011. |
